Ivo Jurek joined Gates Corporation as Chief Executive Officer in May 2015 after spending the entirety of his career in the industrials area, both in the US and internationally where he has held senior leadership positions at some of the world's leading industrial companies. Immediately prior to assuming his role at Gates, Ivo served as President of Eaton's Electrical business in Asia Pacific. He served as Group President at Cooper Industries and as President at Cooper Bussmann. Prior to joining Cooper, he spent 10 years with International Rectifier Corporation, a leading power semiconductor company holding significant general management positions in their automotive and electronic motion systems businesses. He also spent over eight years at TRW Automotive in various leadership positions. His vision for Gates going forward includes his commitment to growth, innovation, and operational excellence.
Executive Vice President, Chief Legal Officer
Cristin C. Bracken has served as Gates Chief Legal Officer, and Corporate Secretary since October 2020. Ms. Bracken was promoted to Executive Vice President in January 2024. She joined the Gates in January 2017, previously serving as its Vice President and Assistant General Counsel, Compliance and Litigation, and then serving as its interim General Counsel prior to her appointment as Chief Legal Officer. As Chief Legal Officer, Ms. Bracken is responsible for all legal functions for Gates, including securities and corporate governance, M&A, litigation, commercial, regulatory, compliance, patents and trademarks, real estate, employment and labor, and environmental matters. Ms. Bracken has extensive experience as a lawyer specializing in compliance, complex litigation, risk management, regulatory, commercial agreements and transactions, and employment law for public and private equity-backed corporations. Prior to joining Gates, she held senior legal leadership roles in both the oil and gas and energy trading industries at companies such as SM Energy Company, Forest Oil Corporation and Dynegy Inc. She also previously served as an Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas. Ms. Bracken began her legal career at Fulbright & Jaworski LLP in its Dallas office.
Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer
L. Brooks Mallard has served as the Company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer since February 2020. As CFO, Mr. Mallard manages Gates’ global corporate finance and accounting functions, including capital structure, resource allocation, financial reporting and the maintenance of the global internal control systems. Previously, Mr. Mallard served as the Chief Financial Officer of Henniges Automotive, a global supplier of highly engineered sealing and anti-vibration systems for the automotive market, beginning June 2019. Prior to Henniges Automotive, he served as the Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Jeld-Wen beginning in November 2014, where he helped take the company from being private equity held, through an initial public offering on the NYSE. He also has held senior financial leadership roles with TRW Automotive, Cooper Industries plc, Thomas & Betts, and Briggs & Stratton during his career.
Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer
Gwen Montgomery has served as Gates Executive Vice President, Chief Human Resources Officer since January 2024. Ms. Montgomery joined the company in March 2017, previously serving as Senior Vice President, Global Human Resources. As Chief Human Resources Officer, Ms. Montgomery will oversee all HR strategic objectives that align with Gates’ business strategy and support the workforce’s needs. She oversees talent management, recruiting, compensation, benefits, labor relations, maintaining a healthy workforce, and talent development. Prior to Gates, Ms. Montgomery worked for PolyOne in Cleveland, where she held several human resource roles of progressing responsibility across a complex, global corporation. Her additional prior experience includes consulting with Deloitte Tax and as a practicing lawyer. She received her BA in Psychology from Baldwin-Wallace College, a JD from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law, and a LL.M in Tax from Case Western Reserve University Law School.
President, Americas
Thomas G. Pitstick has served as President, Americas since August 2024, with responsibility for Gates strategic direction and business performance across the Americas as well as for the Global Mobility Business Unit. Prior to that, he served in various leadership roles with increasing responsibility, including President of APAC, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Marketing Officer and Senior Vice President of Product Line Management, and Senior Vice President of Innovation since joining Gates in January 2016. Prior to Gates, Mr. Pitstick served as Senior Vice President of Marketing — Electrical Sector with Eaton Corporation. Prior to Eaton’s acquisition of Cooper Industries, he served as Vice President and General Manager of the Cooper Power Systems Energy Automation Solutions business unit and held various roles in Cooper’s corporate and business development functions. Before Cooper, Mr. Pitstick held a number of commercial, product line management and business development roles with technology start-up companies.
Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer
Diego Silva is Senior Vice President, Chief Information Officer for Gates, responsible for the global IT organization including the strategic direction, execution, and support of Gates information systems infrastructure, security, and network operations. Prior to Gates, Diego served as the vice president of technology and architecture at Flowserve, where he partnered with the executive leadership team and Board of Directors to set the IT strategic direction for the company, from ERP implementations and master data management to cyber security, application architecture, digital transformation and M&A. Prior to Flowserve, Diego held leadership positions in IT consulting and technology start-up companies. Diego holds an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.S. in Computer Science Engineering from the Universitario Autónomo del Sur in his native Uruguay. He is also a recipient of the prestigious Fulbright scholar award.
Vice President and General Manager, East Asia and India
Andy Low joined Gates as Vice President and General Manager, East Asia & India in June 2022, with responsibility for leading Gates’ strategic objectives and business performance across the region. Andy will also serve as a director and officer for all Gates Unitta joint venture entities, assuming full responsibilities for Gates’ joint venture business across Asia and representing Gates as the majority shareholder of these joint venture entities. Prior to Gates, Andy held leadership roles with American Power Conversion, Schneider Electric, CommScope, and, most recently, Eaton Corporation, where Andy served as GM/APAC for the Distributed Power Quality Division. Andy holds an MBA from the University of Leeds, United Kingdom, a Bachelor of Business from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in Australia, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic in Singapore.
President, EMEA
Josef joined Gates in May 2020, assuming responsibility for Gates’ strategic direction and business performance in the EMEA region. Since 2011, Josef worked for Mann + Hummel in successive leadership roles including President & General Manager for its global automotive aftermarket business, Group Vice President & CEO for Mann + Hummel Asia-Pacific, and Group Vice President for the global water filtration business unit. Prior to joining Mann + Hummel, Josef held progressive responsibility at Robert Bosch in Europe and China, where he built the company’s automotive aftermarket business from inception, holding the distinction of being the company’s first automotive aftermarket employee in China. A native of Germany’s Bavaria region, Josef graduated from Passau University with a degree in business management.
Vice President, General Manager Gates Greater China
Wei Shen joined Gates Corporation as Vice President/General Manager of Gates Greater China in January 2016 with responsibility for all Gates business activities in China. Prior to Gates, Shen was with Eaton Electrical Sector where he held a number of senior management roles including positions of VP GM Distributed Power Quality, VP Sales Ops and Power Quality Marketing, and Business Unit Manager for distributed Power Quality SBU. Wei holds a MS in engineering management from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), an MS in industrial and systems engineering from the University of Michigan, and a BS in control engineering from Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics.
